Yes, I know this is the second entry with PANIC as the title. I am starting to realize just how little time I have left to do so much planning and preparation.
As someone put it after hearing about my current "plans": So, your plan is to have no plan?
That is pretty much it. At least at the start, I just plan on getting a bike over to Europe, or buying one there. From that point, I plan on riding until I get tired of traveling. Might be 3 months, might be 3 years. Hard to say.
Even with almost no plan, I still have to arrange insurance, transportation, look into required visas for the future, storage for when I am out of the area. Lots to think about. Lots to do.
If I choose to take my current bike, there is a lot of work that needs to be done to it. If I buy one, I will likely need to do a lot of work. If I buy one there, that can take time and planning.
I also have to get rid of, or store EVERYTHING I OWN! THAT is a bit of a dilemma. If I could see the future, and knew for sure that I would be travelling for 3 years, then I would give away, donate or throw everything out. If I knew that I was only going to stay away for 3 months then I would store pretty much everything. The problem is the unknown.
